Was very dry underfoot and forgiving course greens on pretty good nick for time of year only criticism was some of the mats could do with being replaced but overall great value for the money

First time playing at this course today for a Boxing Day four man scramble. The staff were helpful and informative and extremely friendly.

I am a relative beginner but two of our group were experienced. Everyone commented on how well the greens were kept and all played really well, no complaints. Luckily none of us got to experience the bunkers but they did look very well maintained. There are a couple of quite challenging holes which ramped up the enjoyment and the competition between family and friends. Fairways were maintained well through out with clear marking of areas under repair which shows how well the course is kept.

Everyone really enjoyed it and we are looking forward to playing here in the summer.

We used buggies and they were great a reasonable price to hire.

Read a couple of negative reviews on here and we have no idea what people are taking about it’s as if they are taking about another location.

The only negative thing for balance was a couple of dog walkers being inconsiderate and just walking across the fairways without considering the golfers. But that’s people just being plain ignorant of what they should be doing and treating golfers in active play as the priority.

All round great afternoon and we will definitely play there again.

Municipality run course, so don't expect too much. Poor fairways and the temporary tee boxes were shocking. Greens in a bit better condition, but only just.
Clubhouse was OK and lovely, friendly staff.
However, a cheap place to play for locals, but don't travel to far to play it, you would be disappointed.

Cracking course! The tees are a little ropey but the fairways and rough are good and fair, running over undulating country side and edged by mature trees. Greens are a little slow but are receptive, run true and are pretty consistent over the 18 holes. Hats off to the green staff for the bunkers, which are in great condition, have just the right amount of sand and are incredibly consistent over the the 18 holes (which is very rare, even on more expensive courses). Hats off to all the other players as well, who'd done a good job raking the bunkers when they'd been in them. The holes are a good length and present a variety of challenges. I paid £16, which is fantastic value - I'll definitely be back, particularly as it drains well during wet weather. The staff in the shop and bar / restaurant were also really friendly and helpful, with a good bacon sandwich and cup of tea coming in at £5.50.

Due to a hot summer ☀️ which as affected most golf course, t boxes 4 out of 10 needs some loving fairways same needs a lot of steady rain, greens some are a bit patchy and slow 🐌. will i play it again the answer is yes but after the dry weather
